We are proud to announce that Dr. Nicole Morrison has been named Supervisor of Early Learning, bringing with her over 19 years of outstanding service in the field of education. Dr. Morrisonâs career reflects a deep commitment to ensuring high-quality educational experiences for all students, particularly during the critical early years of learning.
Throughout her nearly two-decade career, Dr. Morrison has served in a variety of impactful roles, including girlsâ softball coach, classroom teacher, program coordinator, assistant principal, principal, and most recently, Personnel Recruitment Coordinator. As Principal of Leonville Elementary School, she led initiatives that strengthened instructional practices, elevated student achievement, and fostered a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. In her recruitment role, she focused on hiring and retaining high-quality, diverse educators while promoting mentorship and teacher development across the district.
Dr. Morrison brings a rich academic background to her new role. She holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership, a masterâs degree in School Counseling, and dual bachelorâs degrees in Athletic Training and Elementary Educationâall from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Her diverse academic foundation equips her to lead with both instructional expertise and a deep understanding of student and educator wellness.
As Supervisor of Early Learning, Dr. Morrison will oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of early childhood education programs across the district. She is committed to ensuring that every child receives a strong, equitable foundation for lifelong learning, and she looks forward to partnering with educators, families, and the community to make that vision a reality.
